Nitrox or Enriched Air is a custom blend of oxygen and nitrogen tailored to meet individual dive plans. Using Nitrox tanks gives divers more control over their underwater experience. In this course, you will learn the physiology of oxygen and nitrogen and the benefits and disadvantages of using Nitrox in unique situations. Your instructor will teach you how to choose the best blend of Nitrox for your dive profile, determine maximum depth limits for your Nitrox mixture, analyze your tank, and plan and safely execute repetitive dives. Bring your dive computer to class we will show you how the nitrox settings work on your personal dive computer.

Who can participate?

Participants must be at least 10 years old and either a certified scuba diver or be enrolled in the Beginner Scuba Certification Course. You may take this course stand alone or in combination with any other course.

What can I expect during my Nitrox course

During your Nitrox certification you will learn about equipment related to Nitrox like using standard dive tables with Nitrox and Analyzing Nitrox cylinders. You will also learn more about dive planning and managing oxygen exposure. Like other certification courses there is online learning as well as in person learning. However no dives are required to earn your Nitrox certification.
